Roaccutane (Isotretinoin) Roaccutane is the trade name for the active substance isotretinoin, a derivative of vitamin A. Roaccutane is also commonly used off-label by individuals taking anabolic steroids, due to the tendency to develop hormone-induced acne. Elevated androgen levels during steroid cycles often lead to severe acne, especially on the chest, back, and face. Isotretinoin is used in such cases for rapid and effective skin clearing, as it drastically reduces sebum production and inflammation.Indications Severe nodular or cystic acne that is resistant to standard treatments.
