Description
CJC-1295: Advanced Growth-Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH) Analog
By utilizing Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) technology with Growth-Hormone-Releasing Factor (GRF), CJC-1295 selectively and covalently binds to circulating albumin following subcutaneous (SC) administration, significantly prolonging its half-life. These modifications have extended the half-life of CJC-1295 from approximately 7 minutes to over 7 days.
CJC-1295 is a long-acting GHRH analog. Growth-Hormone-Releasing Hormone (GHRH), also known as Growth-Hormone-Releasing Factor (GRF or GHRF) or somatocrinin, is a 44-amino acid peptide hormone produced in the hypothalamus by the arcuate nucleus. GHRH stimulates the secretion of growth hormone (GH) from the pituitary gland in a pulsatile manner, which is essential for promoting slow-wave sleep and maintaining various physiological processes. The active segment of this peptide, known as GHRH1-29, consists of 29 amino acids. This pulsatile release mechanism is regulated by the negative feedback loop of the hGH axis, ensuring the body maintains homeostasis in GH production.
